About IPA

Amazon Wood Flooring Industries (IPA) is a national privately owned company (founded 2007) manufacturing lumber, decking, flooring, skirting boards, window frames and mountings.

IPA exports processed woodwork with high added value. Main species: Jatoba, Ipe, Muiracatiara, Cumaru, Sucupira, Angelim.

IPA is a pioneer project in the Amazon Forest region. The project complies with the objective of developing an economy based on sustainable forest use.

The project is the largest employer in the area and supports responsible, rural development.

The Opportunity

Profitable, fully operational plant with 13.819 m2 of buildings on 780,000 m2 of land located in the urban area of Iranduba (AM), Brazil. FSC certified, with all installations, production lines, equipment and properties. Own port along Rio Solimões with necessary environmental licenses from IPAAM and SPU-Union and Navy Assets Superintendence.

Saw Mill capacity

Consumption capacity of 2,800 m3 logs (1,400 m3 sawn) per month in 1 working shift or 5600 m3 (2,800 m3 sawn) in 2 working shifts.

Preparation Mill capacity

Consumption of 350 m³ of saw wood for decking with an output of 240 m3 high quality decking per month (1 shift).

Grating Step / Dry Kiln

Capacity to dry 900 m³ of saw wood per month. Boiler 8.000kg steam/hour connected to saw mill. Six automated drying ovens for 600m3.

The Plant - Production Lines

IPA has different production lines that allow a wide diversification of products as well as a valuable Production Control Planning. A fully automated packaging and labelling line leads to a finished end product suitable for retail.

SAWMILL

Production line consisting of two saws tapes, 4 multiblades, 2 base and top cutting saws to rulers and 4 pendulums that reduce manpower and allow economy of scale.

PREPARATION UNIT

Production line consists of one multiblade, 1 two faces planer and 1 decking molding. In this unit the wood is processed with better finishing and transformed to decking or pallets.

DRYING UNIT

6 MAHILD greenhouses, each of 100m3, allow us to dry 900 m3 of wood per month. The entire system is computerized and each species has its own drying cycle.
